Helical Outdoors is an environmentally minded, socially conscious small business. Our goal is to help people learn to have more fun and be safer safe in the wilderness. Thank you in advance for choosing to spend your valuable time with us and we will do our best to make sure your time is well spent learning the skills you need while having fun.
Jeff Stacey and Samantha Weiss are the owners of Helical Outdoors and are certified teachers, experienced paddlers and canoe trippers, world travellers, godparents, dog owners, roti lovers, and passionate earthlings. Helical Outdoors was formed so we could share our passion for spending time in wilderness. We have spent many years in the industry in various roles ranging from camp counsellors, to guides, to instructors, to managers, to directors in various organizations ranging from non-profit, to for profit, to hoping to make a profit. We’ve participated in and trained people in all manner of wilderness travel from canoeing to dog sledding and are well poised to share our experiences with you.
Whether it’s whitewater paddling, risk management, or facilitation skills we have developed a unique approach to teaching and leadership that is participant focused and based on thousands of days in the field. To find out more about our programs please feel free to get in touch.
